Vibrant expression of Heathcote here – has a cherry pip meets red currant fruitiness, big dusting of savoury spice, fine, sandy tannins and finishes with a curl of dried herbs and amaro-like acidity. It’s light on, as the vintage may have presented, but feels really refreshing; it’s a different incarnation of the wine and the region, but it retains interest and drinkability. Totally smashable. ”
