 CÔTES DU RHÔNE

The esteemed Dupond family has deep roots in the wine industry, spanning Burgundy and the Rhône Valley. In 1880, Joanny Dupond expanded the family estates from Beaujolais to the Côtes du Rhône by establishing the La Renjardière vineyard just north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The 309-acre vineyard, formerly an oak forest known as La Renjarde, was cleared by Joanny, who personally planted the vines.

The terroir, rich in sand, clay, and limestone with round pebbles, mirrors that of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, contributing to the authenticity and acclaim of the estate’s wines throughout Europe. Among them, the La Renjardière Côtes du Rhône Rouge, affectionately nicknamed “The Red Stripe of Côtes du Rhône” for its distinctive label, continues to thrive. The label, designed in 1960, remains in use to this day.

La Renjardiere Cotes du Rhone has aromas of red fruit, raspberry and blackberry with notes of pepper and spice. Good persistence in the mouth with well-blended tannins….
