One of Huon Hooke’s Top Aussie Reds: Tim Adams 2009 The Fergus Grenache blend
“A very good value for money rustic red blended from mainly grenache with tempranillo, mataro and shiraz. Earthy berry aromas tinged with peppermint and herbal notes. It’s firm and upright on the palate, with some firmness from tannin, and at five years is showing some developed complexity. Now to 2022. 14.5 per cent alcohol. Food: steak and kidney pie.”
