Bellbrae Estate ‘Bells’ Syrah 2022
Consistent with their cool climate style of Shiraz, this Syrah boasts a dense fruit core and a soft palate. Black cherry and dark currant abound with hints of vanilla softened from maturation in new and one-year-old French oak. The tannins are silky and balanced, giving this wine structure to cellar well for at least 10 years from vintage. The 2022 Bells Syrah is born from an excellent vintage with ideal growing conditions for Shiraz, making it an exceptional wine to drink now or cellar.
The Bellbrae Estate ‘Bells’ Syrah (Shiraz) is named after Bells Beach, the most famous of the Surf Coast’s beaches and home of the Rip Curl Pro, the world’s longest running surfing competition.

Tasting Notes
Our winemaker has always been enamoured with the wines of the Northern Rhone area of France, and this Syrah is soft and supple on the palate. Characters of plum and raspberry are integrated with savoury notes of spice, black pepper and cedar oak. A silky, medium-bodied wine with a deliciously long palate. Maturation in new and one-year-old French oak, balanced with silky tannins give this wine structure to cellar well for about 10 years from vintage.
This Syrah is easy to pair with food, yet so moreish that you will want to keep enjoying it long after your meal. Perfectly suited to the Surf Coast lifestyle.

Bellbrae Estate
“Best Wineries of the Regions” + “5 black stars”
“The Surf Coast area of Geelong enjoys a slightly milder climate overall than other areas of the Geelong viticultural region. Being so close to Bass Strait, Bellbrae Estate experiences a maritime influence that reduces the risk of frost in spring and provides more even temperature ranges during summer – ideal growing conditions for producing elegant wines that retain their natural acidity.”
