Bellingham Estate ‘The Bellingham’ Reserve Pinot Noir 2018
Silky and complex, the purest expression of Pinot Noir reflecting this very special site, the viticulture and the winemaking.
Made in the same way as the ‘Main Ridge’ Pinot Noir, however, from Bellingham Estate’s finest hand-selected Pinot Noir fruit. The high altitude and cool climate provide natural acidity and minerality which result in a seamless long finish. Fragrant aromas with hints of autumnal forest floor, redcurrant and vibrant red cherry fruit are evident. Majestic, complex fruit in the dark cherry spectrum, a summer berry compote. The tannins are firm but fine, the acid taut, enhancing the beautiful fruit and gives it length and structure.

“Fuller flavoured Pinot Noir with dark cherry, mocha notes, a bit of mint, some graphite and smoke in there too. The frame is broad, the spread in the palate generous. That being said, acid is to task and keeps things fresh. Feels pretty darn serious, all up.”
