2011 Tim Adams Clare Valley Riesling
“Wine Of The Week. Five Stars. Wines such as this show what outstanding value Australian dry Riesling continues to offer. From a difficult vintage and only a year old, it already shows its class. Lemon zest and delicate floral perfumes mark the aroma, with a whisper of exotic spice and a steely thread underneath. It’s nicely concentrated, with rich flavours and a plump, complete palate. The flavour is dry and lingering with a minerally finish and mouthwatering acidity. This excellent young riesling drinks deceptively well now but should build in bottle for several years. Screw cap. 11 per cent.”
